      Just took delivery of an MS906 (build date Feb/16); haven't registered or updated it yet but I thought i'd plug it in and try it out on an 08' Audi Q7 4.2L FSI to release the e-parking brake.  Message came up 'function not supported'.  Audi software version is 4.81.  I don't want to keep it if it can't even release an electronic parking brake.  Any info/input is appreciated.  Thank you.

    Get a mini SD, use ESFileexplorer and create a copy of the scan folder on the SD = backup existing software.

    Register device and update the VW/Audi software and try again.
    Ensure you have it pluged into power, update FIRMWARE and then the other software.
    The Software is most probably out of date as no one in the factory will update the install image before shipping.
